Abstrak
Hindu community in Bali is classified as a religious community because almost every activity that they have done started by ceremony first. Religious ceremony performed is very diverse both in type and form. Diversity is a description of the five main types of yadnya (Dewa or God Yadnya, Rsi Yadnya, Pitra or ancestor yadnya, Manusa Yadnya, and Bhuta Yadnya). Among these yadnya ceremony, at pawongan was held caru panca sanak (bhuta yadnya) if there is no weirdness like the unrelenting pain, often resulting in strife, the emergence of distress in the yard, bear only one dog, blood spills in the yard without known the source. Background associated with these problems, the study entitled: "The Ceremony Caru Panca Sanak Pertaining With Problem Pawongan at Pakraman Suralaga Village, Abiantuwung Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency." Based on the background problems above, some problems can be formulated: how does the ceremony caru panca sanak with regard to problems pawongan in the village Pakraman Suralaga, Abiantuwung village, Kediri district, Tabanan regency? What is the function caru panca sanak with regard to problems pawongan in the village Pakraman Suralaga, Abiantuwung village, Kediri district, Tabanan district? Is the meaning of the ceremony caru panca sanak with regard to problems pawongan in the village Pakraman Suralaga, Abiantuwung village, Kediri district, Tabanan regency? The theory used to dissect the problem in this research is the structural functional theory, and theory of symbols. Structural functional theory is used to analyze the implementation, structure, and function of caru panca sanak in the village regarding pawongan pakraman Suralaga. While the theory of symbols used to analyze the hidden meanings in the ceremony caru panca sanak in the village regarding pawongan at pakraman Suralaga The model of this research is qualitative research by taking a study site in the village of Pakraman Suralaga, Abiantuwung village, Kediri district, Tabanan regency by direct observation in the village Pakraman. It also conducted in-depth interviews, document studies, and literature study so that data accuracy is guaranteed. Form of caru panca sanak ceremony begins with pick-priest, the arrangement of offerings, ngarga tirta, ngresik, utpetti sthiti, muktiang, worship ceremonies, pengerupukan and planting of ulam caru. Reviewed from the functions, ceremony caru panca sanak in the village regarding pawongan pakraman Suralaga regarding to pawongan has various functions of the purification function, the function of the offering, the function of nyomya or purify bhuta kala, and social functions. While taken from its meaning, caru panca sanak ceremony has religious meaning, the meaning of education, the meaning of ethics, balancing meaning, and meaning of panyupatan.
