Abstrak
Balinese culture has its own characteristics that differentiate with other countries in the vicinity, so famous in foreign countries. Bali is famous for its strong culture with ceremonies - a strong religious ceremonies in daily life - today, based on the sacred values of Hinduism, implemented as a manifestation of the three frameworks namely tattwa Hindu religion, morality and upakara. As we know that the wonderful culture that increasingly thick with many lontar or script that reads the Balinese and Old Javanese. One manuscript is quite interesting to note that Script Sundarigama contents. Sundarigama the content that has been translated from manuscript written to Java Kuno Language until Indonesia language and has a distinctive value associated with the holy days and ceremonies in the form of offerings means (upakara) were prepared for the holy day dedicated to convey profound meaning of these holy days. In that respect, Content Script Sundarigama the study authors is related to the shape of the day - a holy day according to the manuscript Sundarigama there are three things holy days based on the calculation of the month / sasih consisting of the full Kapat, tilem, tilem Kasanga, dark half to thirteen (Panglong Ping Telulas), the bright half of the fifteenth / full, the purification of the Sun God (Surya) and Goddess of the Moon (Chandra). In addition to the form, function also discussed holy days according to Sundarigama manuscript consisting of educational function, the function of self-discipline, self-examination functions, as well as the great Bhuana balance function and Bhuana alit. Similarly, the meaning of holy days according to Sundarigama manuscript consisting of theological meaning, the meaning of inner and outer balance, meaning the natural maintenance, as well as the spiritual and mental strength. May be useful for readers in general.
